Awooo! You’ll Howl For These Wolf Pups
The Gray Wolf, or Canis Lupus or sometimes the “common wolf” is classed ‘least concern’ by conservationist groups as it is one of the most prolific and populous mammal species on earth. The various subspecies of Canis Lupus live just about everywhere in the world north of the equator, all over North America, Europe and Asia, down onto the Indian Subcontinent and even extending into North Africa.
Like you were probably thinking, Gray Wolves are known for their trademark howl, which their cute fuzzy wolf pups practice from an early age. Think Simba’s roar in the Lion King, a squeaky little growl which becomes a powerful, chilling howl. One of the most important facets of a young wolf’s life is adorable play – wolf pups play fight, tugging on ears and nipping at necks in order to build muscle and learn the survival skills that a wolf needs to navigate the dangerous world they live in.
