Sssssnakes! Cute Baby Snakes!
What’s that slithering through the grass? A baby snake! Today we’re talking about these popular legless reptiles. There are tons of different species in the suborder Serpenta, to which all snakes belong. All snakes are carnivorous – some take down prey with a powerful bite, some with paralyzing venom, some with constriction and some with two or all three! Snake babies hatch from eggs that they have to push open with their heads in the earliest stage of their lives. Some cute snake babies hatch underwater, but most do so in burrows made specially by their mothers. Even though some snakes can be very dangerous and some can grow to frightening sizes, all snakes are cute when they are little. Don’t believe me? Check out the gallery below and leave a comment if you’re still unconvinced of the sweet nature of these little baby snakes! Some of them even have a real smile. Is it a friendly smile or the smile of a reptile up to no good? That’s for you to decide.
