Baby Bengals Are GRRRREAT!
Woah! Shocking! That’s what this adorable little Bengal tiger cub must be thinking as he poses cutely for a snapshot, and what you’re sure to be thinking when you see all of the baby animals we have in store for you in this one. Though one day they will grow to be hundreds of pounds, ferocious and thick with muscles tigers start out just like all other babies, tiny and defenseless and totally cute! Looking like little more than your average house cat, baby Bengal tigers milk feed and stumble around with eyes half open as they grow stronger and learn survival skills. Baby tigers play combat games, play fighting over scraps of food or just tussling to prove who is stronger. These cute games that baby tiger cubs play teach them the necessary skills they’ll have to develop to make it in their hectic predatory adulthood. But for now, baby tigers are still tiny and cute, and totally cuddleworthy!
Once they reach adulthood these tigers have quite long limbs and tails. They have sharp claws that are retractable that are very effective for hunting deer and hogs. And when they catch something they eat as much as they can in one sitting, as much as 88 pounds of meat (40 kilos)! Those handsome black stripes cover almost all of the body including their white undersides. There are rare all white Bengal tigers as well. In the wild their numbers have been decreasing so let’s hope for a rebound for these beautiful creatures (which would mean lots of cute tiger cubs to frolick and play around (with each other, they can’t safely play with humans)).
