Baby Ferrets Are Tiny Balls Of Cute
Extremely popular as domestic pets due to their ability to easily be trained and an inherent lack of fear in regards to humans, ferrets are a small mammals that rarely grow longer than 20 inches (51 centimeters, and that’s including the its tail) or heavier than 4 pounds (1.8 kilograms). At birth, ferrets are even smaller (they’re also deaf and blind), with kits (babies) often being able to fit in a teaspoon. Ferrets are known for their playful nature, their explotratory nature, their affinity for humans, and their love of crawling into small spaces. It’s for thesesame reasons (love of small spaces excluded) that ferrets have been kept as domestic pets for literally thousands of years. In fact, excavations of Egyptian temples have uncovered wall markings that featured a creature very similar to a ferret being walked on a leash by a human master. Ferrets typically live between 7 and 10 years, and almost always live those years as part of someone’s household.
