Whoever Said Green is Mean Never Met Such Cute Geckos!
Did you love our story earlier this week about totally tubular tiny toads? Can’t get enough tiny green adorable cold blooded animals? Well, we’re swinging away from amphibians to zoom in on some rascally reptiles! With feet that can stick to almost anything, these clingy lizards really have a way of getting “stuck” on you!
Geckos are among the top most diverse families of lizards in the world, with over 1500 amazing and distinct species the world over. Scientists believe they haven’t even discovered all of the numerous species of geckos. Who can blame them? Check out how tiny these adorable baby lizards are! In fact, the smallest species of gecko yet discovered is only 1.6 centimeters in length. Different from most of their lizardy cousins who aren’t vocal at all, geckos vocalize much like the cute baby toads featured here earlier in that they have a very distinct “chirp” that they belt out to socialize with other cute green geckos.
