Baby Kangaroo Born In Boston
It looks like the Franklin Park Zoo in Boston, Massachusetts (US) has itself a new addition. Well, it’s had a new edition for quite some time already, but everyone finally got a look recently at a baby kangaroo (Joey) that emerged from its mother’s pouch at 190 days old. Kangaroos, like all marsupials, are born extremely tiny without any means of feeding or defending themselves, so they crawl into their mother’s pouch, where they live and feed for about 6 months. This is the first joey born at the Franklin Park Zoo since 2005; its gender is currently unknown, but it’s clearly adorable.
