Toronto Zoo Welcomes a New Baby Ring Tailed Lemur!
Early this spring, a new tenant at the beautiful Toronto Zoo had the animal-loving community going really “wild”! Pictured above is the new baby ringtail lemur living in the Toronto Zoo. Though our fellow zookeepers over there in Toronto could not find out the gender of the baby due to a a certain overprotective lemur mom, onlookers still get to enjoy the adorable little primate curiously exploring its new home. One visitor captured an adorable video, seen above!
Love that? See below for a whole gallery of cute ringtail lemurs! Oh, and don’t feel sad that this little guy is being born into captivity instead of his natural Madagascar habitat: did you know that lemurs in captivity live up to an average of twice as long as those in the wild? The nice folks in the Toronto Zoo will make sure this little lemur has all the comforts of home, plus round the clock monitoring of its health in such a critical, early stage of its life.
