From Blue Face to Big Nose
How’s this for baby to adult color presto chango – When born, the baby proboscis monkey has blackish fur, a blue face and a little nose but as they grow up the face changes to a pale fleshy color, the fur turns to beige, brown and gray; while the nose grows to be one of the biggest honkers in the animal world (elephant trunks aside). The males have much larger noses than the females. They are from Borneo, can eat a wide range of vegetation, can swim well and surprisingly enough, can make a honking noise with their nose.
