Harper The Miracle Pittbull
You see that happy little lady in the above photo? I bet you’d never guess that she was born without the abilty to even stand up; let alone walk, but she ways. Now, thanks to Erica Daniel and Hip Dog Canine Hydrotherapy & Fitness, she went from this…
…To the frolicking little bundle of joy that she is today. Daniel rescued Harper in basically the purest sense of the word, taking her from a her original owner who was keeping her in a sack while he was waiting for her to die. Daniel took Harper, who she would later find out had pectus excavatum (a deformity of the chest cavity that puppies are sometimes born with; it allows them almost no motion and usually means certain death), home and cared for her with a plan to euthanize her (per doctor’s orders) the next day. However, after massaging and caring for the pup for just a few hours, she noticed that Harper was gaining range of motion in her limbs. Upon realizing that there was hope, she placed a call to the people at Hip, and after a lot of hydro-therapy and love, Harper is doing great. She can walk on almost any surface, and is leading a perfectly normal life. Harper is four-pawed proof that there’s always hope, so enjoy some more photos of the adorable little fuzz-ball and have yourself a smile!
