Tasmanian Devils Are Dangerous, But Devilishly Cute
Tasmanian devils are commonly known for their interesting responses to conflict; as adults, they either flyinto a crazed rage when confronted by a predator, or yawn at the predator in an attempt to convince it that they aren’t frightened by it. However, not everyone knows that tasmanian devils, who are also the world’s largest carnivorous marsupials, are extremely cute when they’re babies. Never growing larger than a small domestic dog, tasmanian devils are born even smaller, emerging from the womb no larger than a raisin. The moment they are born, tasmanian devils (born in groups of 20 to 30) will crawl into the pouch on their mothers’ stomach , where they stay and feed until they are four months old and ready to enter the world. At this point, the baby tasmanian devil is a great climber, and will spend a lot of time up in the trees; as it grows older and heavier though, it will spend most of its time on the ground. Baby tasmanian devils are weaned at about 6 months, and will go off on their own at around 8 months.
