You Won’t Want These Baby Leopards to Change Their Spots!
When you hear someone say “Big Cat” you know they mean one of four major species: Tigers, Lions, Jaguars and Leopards. Of those four, the leopard is the smallest – which we think makes leopard babies the cutest big cat kittens in the whole world! Tiny, fuzzy and spotted, these cute babies look like they belong playing with a ball of yarn in your living room, not lying in a tree waiting for their jungle prey to be brought back by a big scary spotted leopard mom!
Leopards are sleek, fast and powerful predators who use their spotted coats to help camouflage themselves from their prey in the dense vegetation they live in and around. Like many other cats, leopards are prodigious climbers, and love spending time in trees. Some leopards even drag their prey up into their favorite tree and enjoy their meal up in the branches. Leopard moms have litters of 4-6 cubs, and luckily for all of us cute animal lovers, the official conservation status of leopards is “not threatened”.
